The
Philippine Mineral Development Institute Foundation , Philippine
Stock Exchange, Chamber of Mines, Mines and Geosciences Bureau,
Philippine-Australian Business Council and the Board of Investments
together with the Partnership on Economic Governance Reforms
are sponsoring an orientation workshop on the Australian JORC
code, an accepted international reporting code, as a prelude
to the formulation of a Philippine Mineral Reporting Code.
The
two-day workshop will cover guidelines in reporting mineral
exploration, mineral resources and ore reserves including
stock exchange listing rules and stock market practices in
mining. Accreditation of competent professionals who would
undertake reporting of mineral assets will also be discussed.
This will be of interest to mining and exploration companies,
investors, stock brokers, regulating and promotional agencies
of government, and mining and geoscience professionals. It
would be invaluable for the professionals who would like to
be accredited for preparation of PMRC compliant reports.
