The MGB-6 management and MGB Employees Association
partnered in organizing this years anniversary and have lined up
a series of activities for the month-long celebration, which kicked
off with a Mass, Office Blessing and an Opening Program on November
5, 2003.
An exhibit is also being displayed at the MGB Office’s
lobby located at the Queen City Garden Mall, de Leon Street, Iloilo
City. The exhibit features programs and activities of the Bureau,
facts and figures on the mining industry, various rock samples and
gemstones/semi-precious stone collection of MGB-6 and that of Mrs.
Bonifacia Lee, a private participant in the exhibit.
MGB-6 will also hold a Family Day on November 21,
2003 at the covered gymnasium of La Paz Plaza. For one day, the
MGB-6 workforce will be at the Plaza for various team-building activities.
The Office will designate personnel to entertain telephone calls
and other inquiries.
Other activities include Inter-Color Sportsfest,
Inter-Office Quiz Contest, Seminar on Gender and Development (GAD)
on Women’s Rights, and the conduct of lectures and exhibits
in selected secondary schools as part of MGB’s information,
education and communication (IEC) activities.
