THE NATIONAL MINING CONFERENCE

The National Mining Conference (NMC) gathers the business sector, civil society and the government in what could be the biggest multi-stakeholder forum on responsble mining at the Holiday Inn Manila Galleria on December 3-4. The NMC, which marks the culmination of the World Bank-sponsored Philippine Mining Workshops and Conference (PMWC), highlights the Arroyo administration’s resolve to help chart the course for the sustainable development of the Philippine mining industry.

This nine-month initiative, which involved several regional consultations, international study tours and local mine visits, is also supported by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Embassies of Canada and Australia.
