Private Entity Projects

All geological private developers/project shall undergo GEOLOGICAL SITE SCOPING. This geological assessment shall be undertaken by DENR-MGB geologists and shall consist of a preliminary site geological inspection of the proposed project area or development. The Geological Site Scoping Report (GSSR) shall contain the engineering geological and geohazard studies that shall be undertaken by the proponent.

In cases where the proponents have an engineering geological and geohazard assessment report of their project site, the MGB geologists shall conduct GEOLOGICAL VERIFICATION to evaluate whether additional studies have to be conducted in the area.

The proponent shall then hire qualified geologist/s or engineer/s to conduct the ENGINEERING GEOLOGICAL AND GEOHAZARD ASSESSMENT (EGGA) as required in the GSSR or Geological Verification Report.
