The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) is pleased to announce the establishment of its new Regional Office for the Negros Island Region (NIR). This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources to create dedicated regional offices for the newly formed NIR, which includes the provinces of Negros Occidental, including Bacolod City, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor.

The Negros Island Region (NIR) was officially established through Republic Act No. 12000, signed into law on June 11, 2024, by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

In light of this development, all official correspondences and documents for the Mines and Geosciences Bureau - Negros Island Region (MGB-NIR) must be addressed to:
